Refreshing Your Bathroom

Updated: Nov 17, 2020

Sometimes rooms in our home really just need a refreshing, rather than breaking the bank and planning a full-fledged remodel. Listed below are a few ideas of how to update and work with what you already have in your outdated bathroom.

1. Replace your sink faucet

It is amazing what a difference just a little sink faucet can make in the whole appeal of your bathroom. The sink faucet is something that will be seen and used anytime someone enters the bathroom, so getting rid of your old, worn out, and some times gnarly sink faucet can give the bathroom a whole new look.

2. New shelving or storage racks

Consider replacing old shelving or storage racks to give the bathroom a fresh new feel. Similar to faucets, shelves and racks can get worn out and damaged. Giving yourself new ways to organize can also help keep you motivated to keep your space clean.

3. Shower curtains, rugs, and towels

Give your bathroom the look you have always wanted by coordinating your shower curtain, towels, and floor mat. You can also coordinate by pairing towels with other bathroom accessories such as soap dispensers and toothbrush holders.

4. Replace the shower curtain rod

Once again, not a huge difference that you would be making in your bathroom, but just a subtle enough difference to really tie the new and refreshed style all together.

5. Add plants for a final touch

Bringing the outdoors in can help give your bathroom a splash of color as well as a refreshing feel. Consider real or fake plants to give the space that final touch.
